Hapaworld Start to DJ Campus Coach Certification and Curriculum License 12-Month Subscription (Download)

Start to DJ is an exciting, project-based learning course for all ages, from K-12 to college. The "Start To DJ Lesson Program Levels 1, 2 & 3 Teacher Certification & Curriculum 12-Month Subscription" will help students become "Hapa" DJ-Certified.

Students learn hands-on, applying skills in real-world projects, fostering creativity and a lifelong passion for music and technology.

For iPads and Chromebooks, it uses djay Pro to supplement learning. For PCs and Macs, it uses Serato DJ Lite / Serato DJ Pro.

For supplemental hardware, it is recommended to purchase the Start to DJ Lab Bundle for Schools that includes the Pioneer DDJ-FLX4 2-Channel DJ Controller, First 50 DJ Techniques book and 4 Start To DJ Level 1 Workbooks.

Please Note: Be sure to purchase the accompanying workbooks that match to your devices that you have or will have access to. Each student workbook has a Certificate of Completion in the back of it that the Campus Coach will fill out and sign and distribute to students who have completed the program.

Campus Coach Certification also includes a one hour On-Boarding Live Session with the Coaching Staff and the remainder can be completed asynchronously, prferably before the start of the Start to DJ Program.

Level 1 access can be renewed after 12 months at a discounted rate of 25% off. Multiple years or multiple coaches can be purchased at a discounted rate. Levels 1 and 2 can be combined and thought of as a 16 session program.

Student Learning Objectives (SLO) are available for all sessions upon request and curriculum was created to meet the international ISTE standards.

Start to DJ Campus Coach Certification and Curriculum License Level 1
Level 1 has a milestone culmination project of students mixing 6 demo songs together in front of their peers. Throughout the 8 session level, they will learn:

• Basic Music Theory
• Song Structure
• BPM and Tempo
• Faders and Blending Songs
• EQ and Smoothing Out the Mix
• Basic Hot Cue Strategy
• Intro to Rhythm and Non-Rhythm FX
• Recording
• Basic Loops and the history of Kool Herc

Students can work on just the software or can also use a compatible Pioneer DJ controller with the software that is available on laptops or desktops (Green Track) or iPads and Android Chromebooks (Purple and Orange Tracks).

Start to DJ Campus Coach Certification and Curriculum License Level 2
Level 2 builds on everything covered in Level 1 and has a milestone culmination project of students performing a live mixtape that they can curate with music that they select. Through the 8 session level, they will learn:

• Review of all the Level 1 concepts
• Breaking down songs and learning how to “map” songs
• Intermediate Hot Cue Strategy
• Intermediate use of FX
• Intermediate use of Loops
• Creating Album Art with Canva for the Mixtape
• Time Management Strategy of Remixed Pomodoro Methodxxxx

Levels 1 and 2 can be combined and thought of as a 16 session program. Digital codes are accessed through the Hal Leonard Dealer Virtual Delivery system called the Vault.
